Starting up the charity!

The decision I made to start up my own charity was not a spontaneous one. It was an idea that I initially toyed with, then laboured over, and finally meticulously executed.

Following a work experience placement in St Elizabeth Hospital, Tanzania I realised that although there are a number of established charities that aim to combat poverty and improve the lives of those in developing countries, there is simply not enough being done. I believed that I could make a difference, that I could lessen the gap between treatment in the ‘developing world’ and the ‘developed world’; so I set up The Little Things.

As with all ambitious endeavours I invariably ran into a few obstacles but patience and determination always win through. This is just the start of something that I genuinely believe will improve the lives of hundreds, if not thousands of people, and I urge you to join in and take part in raising funds for this cause.
